Product Description
Petroleum resin hydrogenation saturates the unsaturated double bonds on the molecular chains of petroleum resins (C5, C9, C5/C9 copolymer, DCPD, etc.) under the action of a catalyst, while removing sulfur, chlorine and color, to obtain water-white/colorless hydrogenated petroleum resins with good weather resistance. The catalyst is the core of this process.
In certain critical applications, a high degree of hydrogenation is essential to obtain stable resins with the lowest color intensity. Hydrogenation of hydrocarbon resins removes aromatic functional groups and unstable double bonds, thereby improving resin color and stability to heat, UV light and oxygen.
